Welcome to The Sacre Coeur
This is the home of the The Sacre Coeur, uberest of guilds. Find us on The Scryers in the World of Warcraft.

Sacre Coeur doesn't easily fit into any of the usual categories. Yes, we raid with our tight-knit 10-man raiding machine, and now we're looking to grow to 25. We also run heroics in our sleep, visit Old World instances for nostalgia, help our guildies advance, and pursue achievements with rabid enthusiasm.

Sacre Coeur is not your usual collection of strangers. The core of the group has been together since the rocks of Azeroth were soft, forming as a guild on Silverhand early in 2005 and making the jump to The Scryers in 2007. Friends and colleagues in the real world, they named the guild "Sacred Heart" after Heartlab, where they worked. From that base, we've grown, and shrunk, and grown again, as guilds are prone to do, but we've never lost sight of the fact that we are friends first and foremost.

Sacre Coeur is maybe not business-as-usual for a guild. Most of us are adults with family and professional lives. We're serious about our game, but we know it's just a game. No one is getting their knickers in a twist if you can't make raid night. No one is yelling at you if you die on Frogger. Even for the third time in a row. We're good at what we do, and willing to help you get there, too.

Come on in and get to know Sacre Coeur. If you like what you see, talk to us about becoming part of our circle of friends. We welcome all levels and all classes.

Thanks for stopping in. See you in Azeroth.

Guild Policies

Guild Conduct

Sacre Coeur strives to provide a warm, congenial atmosphere for  members. We can sometime be off color but always good natured and never condescending. We are a well respected guild and member conduct jeopardizing that will NOT be tolerated. Sacre Coeur members do not beg for gold or items in guild or out.

Guild Bank Policies

Every guild member has the right to the items in the Guild Bank. Currently only guild members ranked Member and above are allowed to remove items from the guild bank, so if you are not high enough rank just request the item from a member that is. Please only take items that you can use. Do not take items to sell or give to a non-guild alt or friend. No guild member will be promoted to a rank with access to the guild bank unless they prove that they have an authenticator!

Guild members who participate in guild progression raids (currently ICC) may repair their armor from the guild bank. For instances on farm (everything else) or five-man instances, guild members may not repair from the guild bank.

Raid Policies

Sacre Coeur raids on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. We do the raid weekly and often some others on Wednesdays. Working on progression in ICC on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We also raid on other nights for farming and fun. To accommodate members in all time zones, we start at 5:30 server time and stop at 8 server time. Since this is such a short time window for raiding, I ask that everyone be on at least 15 min beforehand so that we can start promptly at 5:30ST. Keep in mind that as we grow there are people who may be waitlisted so if you are not on by 5:30ST then your spot may be forfeit (exceptions may be made if you contact the raid leader in advance).

There will be events posted in the calendar in WoW for the upcoming week. Please take the time to accept or decline the invite so that the Raid Leader can start looking for fill-ins if not enough people sign up. Also, please, out of consideration for your fellow guildies (especially those on the west coast), if you sign up please make every attempt to be on time and prepared.

'What do I need to do to be prepared,' you ask?

First: Repair before zoning in. There is nothing more tedious than someone after their first death saying that their armor is red. It's time consuming and easily avoidable.

Second: Bring your favorite buff food. If you can't make something then ask a guildie ahead of time to cook you up something! The buff from food can sometimes make all the difference.

Third: Have plenty of your favorite potions or flasks on hand. How many is plenty? Well, for potions since they disappear after a death, aim to have a full stack. For flasks you can get away with only a few since they persist through a death.

Loot Policies

Five man instances
Loot will be set to Group Loot and the threshold usually set to Uncommon although the party leader may make it higher. For all BoE items party members should roll greed unless it is an upgrade. For BoP items if there is an enchanter in the party then the enchanter will roll greed and everyone else should pass, or roll need if it is an upgrade for you. If there is no enchanter in the group then all should roll greed unless you need. Disenchanted items will go to the Guild Bank for guild members to use.

Raids 10 & 25
Please, to avoid confusion, do not link loot, spam recount, or clutter the raid channel with unnecessary chatter while looting is going on. Loot will be distributed via the Master Looter system and the threshold will be set to Rare or Epic. Participants will get one or more need rolls, per night, depending on if the raid instance is on farm or represents progression for the guild.

If the instance is on farm (everything other than ICC is currently on farm) then you have one need roll per wing. If no one needs the item then it will go to an off spec roll. There is no limit to the number of off spec rolls. If no one wants the item for an off spec then it will be disenchanted and the mats put in the guild bank.

For progression instances participants will get one need roll per night and unlimited off spec rolls. If a BoE epic drops it will go to a need roll which will count towards your need for the wing/night. If no one needs then it will go for an open greed roll which everyone can roll on. Profession loot (enchants, designs, patterns etc) will go up for a need roll open to anyone who can use it. This will not count towards your one need roll for the night/wing.
